Wed. Oct. 31- Halloween!!!

Have fun today! Play dressup, have snacks, play Bingo, etc.

If you didn’t do the windsock Ghost activity yesterday you can do it today.

Activity if needed: Put a large sheet of paper (in the Laminating room) up on the clear board near the sink and let them paint with Fall colors.

Ghost Windsock Craft

 

Tues. Oct 30- “E”, Halloween, Fall

Have you finished painting the paper maiche pumpkins yet? If not replace the Gost windsock project to finish painting pumpkins. Fill with candy/stickers/treats for the Halloween party favors.

Book 1: “Beneath the Ghost Moon”. Discuss “forgiveness” and why it’s so important   Have they ever had to forgive someone for taking their toy? Or hitting them on accident? etc.

For each one you will need:

  • 18″x6″ strip of white construction paper.
  • 8 to10 1″ strips of white crepe paper or buy a roll of white party streamer paper.
  • Black construction paper, scraps will do.
  • One or two 18″ pieces of yarn or cotton string (in the bead basket).
  • white glue 
  • scissors

Book 2: Let the messenger pick.

Activity 2: play in sandbox.  Get some letter E’s out of the magnet letters and hide them in the sand for the kids to find.

Activity 1: play with cloud dough. I give each boy about 1 cup of it on a colored tray and let them use “instruments” from the kitchen center.

Book 2: let “Messenger” pick.

Activity 2: let them use whiteboard markers on clear “art” board (the one between the sink and outside door).

Supplies needed for Friday: mini balloons, newspaper

Lesson Plans for K3

Basic Daily Schedule

7:45- M., Be., and Br. come to class. Do morning worksheet and discuss the letter of the week.

 

8:00- D. comes to class. Have him do worksheet if there is time.

 

8:05- announcements. After announcements we do circle time.

 

CIRCLE TIME-  book of the day (consistent with whatever our theme is)

 

Book discussion and theme discussion

 

Change jobs at job board behind door.

 

Weatherman does the weather.

 

8:25- take kids potty then out to special of the day.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: music

Tuesday, Thursday: Chinese

 

9:00- teacher brings them back. SNACK TIME

 

9:15- art project/ activity of the day. This can take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes.

 

9:30- 10:00- free centers. K2 will usually come over to play while Shayla does diaper change and potty.

 

10:30- 11:00- second story (I usually let the “messenger” pick one).  Bingo or a puzzle together.

 

This time can be very fluid depending on K2. If it’s noce we’ll go outside from 11:00- 11:25.

 

11:25- potty and wash up for lunch.

 

11:30- lunch

 

12:00-   potty then naptime.

 

Let them nap as long as they want to.  They usually nap until 1:30 or 2:00.

 

2:00-2:45- play outside.
